Embarking on her journey in real estate right in the heart of Prince George, BC, Darlene Fritz has been a cornerstone of the real estate sector for decades. Beginning her illustrious career in sales at Nechako Real Estate, Darlene quickly ascended through the ranks and shifted gears to focus on property appraisals by joining CMHC.

In 1985, Darlene made a strategic move back to Victoria, where she leveraged her expertise as both an appraiser and a mortgage underwriter in the banking industry for a prominent Trust company. A significant milestone in her career came in 1990, when Darlene, fresh from celebrating the birth of her son, pivoted to the fee appraisal sector.

Bo Lott is a Senior Appraiser at D. Fritz Appraisals Inc., bringing expertise and local property market insights to his role, supported by his AACI designation. Raised on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast, Bo specializes in comprehensive commercial and residential appraisals, focusing on multi-family and commercial development projects. Alongside his professional pursuits, Bo is dedicated to his family and actively contributes to the community through hobbies like managing a hobby farm and coaching fastpitch. With his strong professional background and community dedication, Bo ensures meticulous and dependable appraisals that empower clients’ decision-making.

TOM SCINOCCA

Tom joined the D. Fritz Appraisals Inc. team in the spring of 2017, as part of the co-op program through the University of Victoria. Previously, Tom worked as an entrepreneur during the first two years of his degree as he owned and operated his own residential painting franchise. Since this time, Tom has achieved his Bachelor of Commerce undergraduate degree, and has become a Candidate Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada through the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. He is now on the path to achieve his CRA designation.

AIC Candidate Member

Casie McKay is a dedicated Candidate Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, with over a decade of valuable experience to our team since joining in 2011. Currently working toward her CRA designation through the University of British Columbia, Sauder House School of Business, Casie balances her professional pursuits with her undergraduate studies at the University of Victoria. Formerly the Office Manager at D. Fritz Appraisals Inc., Casie’s career trajectory within the company demonstrates her commitment to professional growth and her passion for the industry. Beyond her career, Casie embraces the joys of parenthood, as she and her partner welcomed twin boys into their family in the spring of 2022.

CHELSEA LUCCIOLA

Office Manager

Chelsea became a respected member of our team in the summer of 2019 and due to her partner’s Military posting to Nova Scotia, she now serves as our sole employee working from another Province. In her role as Office Manager, Chelsea plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations that drives our team’s achievements. With a professional background in Business Human Resources and Public Relations, Chelsea’s true passion lies in fostering strong client relationships. Beyond her work duties, she values time spent with her partner and young son. Outside of her family life, Chelsea is dedicated to her personal growth journey and is actively pursuing certification as a Fertility, Birth, and Postpartum Doula through ongoing studies.

EMILY CROOKS

Office Administrator

Emily joined the team in the Spring of 2022, after working as a bookkeeper for a local Real Estate development firm. Outside of work, Emily sits on the Board of Directors for the Canadian World Education Society, which is a non-profit organization committed to providing quality education for students in the remote village of Sanitar, Nepal. Emily graduated from the University of Victoria in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree and is now enrolled in the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. Emily looks forward to continuing her education and pursuing a career in the Appraisal field.

Job Title: AIC Candidate Appraiser

D. Fritz Appraisals Inc. is an established Real Estate Appraisal company that has been part of the Capital and Cowichan Valley community since 1998. We are excited to announce our company is ready to grow again and are searching for an AIC Candidate Appraiser to join our busy team to expand up-island in Nanaimo and the surrounding area.

The position available will be an independent contract, with a commission-based fee split. The successful Candidate will work under and be mentored by our AACI designated Appraiser. Our small team also consists of a CRA designated Appraiser (owner), three other AIC Candidates, and two Office Administrators. This is a work from home position, with an online virtual office to maintain and encourage communication and teamwork within the company. All computer software will be provided.

Responsibilities Include:

· Perform on-site inspections, ensuring measurement accuracy, taking photographs and data collection;

· Pull comparable sales and assign values to complete appraisal reports efficiently;

· Meet turnaround times to ensure client satisfaction;

· Develop relationships with lenders, brokers, clients, and other members of the public;

· Continuously improve their knowledge regarding cost, market, and valuation trends;

· Abide by all company policies and procedures;

· Attend staff meetings as required.

Qualifications Needed:

· Valid Driver’s License and driving record that meets company standards

· Clean Criminal Record check

· A keen interest and knowledge of Vancouver Island’s real estate market

· Registered Candidate Appraiser with the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC)

· Must have proficient writing skills, be thorough and attentive to detail
